Thanks but I am asking about the official ATT approved 10.2 release. Still a little scared to install a leaked version.

Don't be! I've been on almost every leak since I got my q10 day it was released. They are basically official releases but more stable and more features.

Do not dally and do not be afraid. 10.2.0.1791 is awesome and super fast and easy. The hardest part is downloading it from Megaupload. You will love it.

Singapore is apparently seeing it now, so carriers in North America should not be too far behind

I installed the .1791 leak today on my Q10 working just fine. I wouldn't wait for the official OS in the states that could be weeks if not more the knowing the carriers. I have installed other leaks/hybrid OS on my previous BB.

Nobody would be able to tell you when it hits officially. If someone would, we'd already have word regarding the release. That's for virtually every carrier out there.

Until now I've also kept my distance to leaks, but now seeing the recently released official 10.2 for Singapur is just a 10.2.0.4xx is somewhat of a disappointment. Leaked versions reached a high 10.2.0.17xx segment, and I was pretty sure we'd get something official around .176x. So most likely I'll also install a leaked version later this weekend.

I was leery about installing leaks at first too. It's only scary the first time. I will admit you have to devote a couple hours in total to back-up, install leak, restore back-up. But I have installed 3 leaks and I haven't had any major issues besides certain features buggy at times. I haven't installed the last 2 or 3 available leaks. I'm patiently waiting for the official release. But, no harm in practicing how to do it now so that when the 10.3 leaks start rolling out you'll already be comfortable with the process. Good Luck! Just follow the instructions found here on Crackberry and you're golden! long live my BlackBerry

Hey does the .1791 leak have the pesky pin watermark on screen? If not I need to grab it. I'm still on .1323 besides no flash and some dark themes missing its mint.

No watermark, this only happens on the current 10.2.1 leaks appearing lately. The 10.2.0 leaks don't show your PIN all the time anymore.

1791 leak is most stable leak out there IMO. Im on verizon and i know i wont be getting update any time soon. Do some research in the forums for installing leaks. It's pretty simple and harmless.

Thanks all for advice and encouragement. I just don't have the time to devote to doing it and the occasional bugs still scare me. I am happy to hear Singapore has started. Hopefully, ATT will let it through soon. Thank you all, again.

rule of thumb. If the last number of the leak is above 1000 you will not see the watermarks. At least that has been the observation over the past few months. After the 10.2.1 leak hits the 10.2.1.1xxx version it should drop the watermarks. Any 10.2.0.1xxx does not have them.

Ok, I'll try to install the newest leak - I am also on AT&T w/a Q10. Is there a cave-man proof guide to help me so I do not end up w/an expensive brick? Thanks.

I still would like to know if there has been any information about when the official 10.2 release will be made available for AT&T. (Installing a leak on my phone isn't an option, as it is a work-owned device.)

Hmmm...it's officially November. Even in Indonesia (well, it was November there first, but you get the point).

No, you're not wrong. (Didn't Blackberry say "October?")

Maybe it has something to do with all these problems people keep reporting. So sloooooow, though. Very frustrating. Ugh.
