Links 'restore to factory' and the phone's security wipe?

Plan on running one or both on q10, tmo USA latest OS release is currently installed, branded phone, -5 I believe. PC is win7 64bit. Don't have link version at the moment but can post back if it's necessary.

I'm assuming tmo has kept the q10 update available. Hope so..

If it helps, my goal is to reinstall current 2228 OS.

    Thanks!

Restore to factory put your phone back to factory OS for your carrier
Wipe will delete all off your phone and set back to when you very first powered it on.

Pretty much does the same thing.
Removes all added on apps, changed settings, and accounts/messages and your back to basic, but still have whatever OS version is installed on the BlackBerry (as in it doesn't roll back to a previous or OEM OS)
IIRC it doesn't wipe the SD card, but pull that just to be safe if you want to save that data.

    Thanks you two.

I updated to 2228 OTA. Q10 was delivered 2 months ago with 10.1.0.4780 installed. Will links restore to factory take me back to 10.1.0.4780?

You could probably find it in sachesi and maybe load it that way.
