So, generally speaking, cars which only support bluetooth calls, address book syncing and media streaming don't tend to have this feature whereas those with upgraded systems that generally include sat nav allow our phones to display their badges. Correct?

    Posted via CB10
I can't speak for anything but Ford because my company issues Fusion, Taurus, Edge, and Explorer. They all come with standard Bluetooth and media streaming but no change in BlackBerry device screen. You can pay extra for sunroof, alloy wheels, etc and some upgrade sound package which includes Bluetooth upgrade to myFord Touch and that allows for device screen change.

I actually think it's the other way around. Cars with the upgraded myFordTouch don't activate the badge. I have a 2014 Ford focus ST (st3) with everything on it... and it doesn't show the badge.

I remember reading a separate thread about this, and ford drivers with just the sync (or just sync with MyFord--not MyFordTouch) and saying theirs worked.

Hopefully their new QNX-based system is more consistent.

My company car is a base model 2014 Ford Focus SE with standard Ford Sync. I get Bluetooth with media stream and voice controls. It doesn't change my home screen, maybe I don't have it set right?

I can't get my Volkswagen logo at my lock screen! All I get is this:

Of course, I hit "Yes". Then I get this:

Then I hit "My Car". Then I get this:

Nothing! And in my Bluetooth it's even set as my car:

What I'm I missing? I'm running 10.2.1.537 from Rogers (I used Sachesi since I got sick of waiting on AT&T). Does anyone know? My car is a 2013 Volkswagen Beetle Turbo with navigation.

Just a guess, but try locking the device.

I got the same car as yours and it shows the logo plus those other things.

Try to pair it again. It should work.

No I mean to actually password lock the device. I may be way off, but I thought I'd seen that posted in another thread similar to this one - with the vehicle screen shots. But I'm guessing that since nobody else that's posted here has suggested that it's probably wrong

No it doesnt need to be password locked to see the badge.

I'm not sure exactly how it recognises the car... Maybe the name of the blootooth?

Nope it isn't an aftermarket one. Peugeot were one of the first manufacturers to implement a touch screen as standard equipment in the supermini segment, here in Europe.

Try to restart the phone and turn off the bluetooth while you are inside the car . Turn back on and give it a try. I did it in that pattern to pair it with BMW

My friend has a Ford Fusion with the fully upgraded package and his will read text out loud but won't show the ford symbol on lock screen. I have a Focus without touch and mine won't do text but shows on lock screen.

I am curious as to how some people got such a large list of cars and others get none or very few.

Depends on the blutooth protocol used I guess. If it uses rSAP... then basically the car just shuts the phone down and uses the BlackBerry SIM card as a SIM card for the car phone. It uses the outside antenna of the car and text and phone features are directly on the car... no connection with the BlackBerry. I don't know if that would show the car logo since essentially the phone is off.

The other way is through A2DP, which basically is just a remote access to your phone. So everything is done on the BlackBerry and the result is just sent to the car. That shows the logo of the car on the phone.

Hmmm try to pair the phone again. I would guess your car's Bluetooth is compatible with A2DP... what about rSAP? you can try to activate rSAP in the Bluetooth settings of the phone

Hmmm also the car has to have Bluetooth compatible with A2DP I believe. I know the older Bluetooth protocole has limited capabilities
