My q10 keeps shutting down and is very hard to restart the battery is charged. When it does restart hub takes a long time to load .the media volume did not work and the whole screen froze and then it worked again. I wonder if the battery is pooched

The average lifespan for lithium batteries is 18 to 24 months, depending on the number of charge cycles. The battery charger bundle sold here is good to have; you can swap out the original battery and see what happens when you try to charge it outside of the phone. I got my charger bundle at Amazon and it works great.

If it keeps shutting down have you checked for a loose battery?

This is the first thing I'd check, especially if the restarts occur when the device is set down on a table, etc. Some people suggest cleaning up the battery contacts (on the battery and device) too.

As for battery longevity, it's going to vary. My wife has an iPhone 4s and I use a Bold 9900. Both batteries still seem fine at 4 years, with daily use.

The battery of the 9900 was fine at some point?

Mine had awful battery life until I did the 02 UK OS 7.1 update. Since then it's been perfectly fine, but I think that's because I don't have BIS, so a lot of BlackBerry's constant connection features are not operative. I think the lack of BIS services also explains why I don't get the spinning wheel. I use LogicMail and Kik, and I have a second battery, but I never need it under regular usage.

How did you get this set up?

I still get BIS but wondering if I can use it like yours, as my gripe with the 9900 is battery life.
