Went into the att store to handle some issues with one of the kids phones. I was up for an upgrade, but it turns out the wife wasn't. So I upgraded to the Q10, and she said she wanted my Z10. So now we both have os10 now.

Q10 is awesome so far. Wife is getting used to the Z10, and it is going to take a little bit having upgraded from a 9810.

So far the Q10 is exactly what I was needing. I really like it. And the wife so far likes the new OS as well.

Att salesman was actually very helpful and knowledgeable about BlackBerry and the bb10 as well. Actually kinda refreshing.

Good job, and congrats on the new phone. You're adjusting to the reduced screen-estate without issue?

The screen size is all relative. Coming from my 2.3" 9650 screen, the Q10 screen is luxurious!

None so far. The keyboard has been the biggest adjustment so far. The z10 keyboard was pretty awesome.

Almost impressive to hear a single positive shopping experience of a BB10 device in the US. Usually you only read about incompetent sales staff who tries to talk the customers out of their decission or simply lough at them.

Exactly. Never had a good experience out of this same store, but this was the first time I got this guy as a sales person before.

Take it when you can I guess.

It is definitely more of what I need for work. The z10 was nice, but I really need to qwerty keyboard for all the work I do on this thing. Forgot how nice it really is.

Good to hear of knowledgeable phone retailers in Alaska. Gee maybe being close to the True North aka Canada had an influence... hmm.

Anyway waiting for my wife's 9900 to die so that we have 2 Q's in the house - my Q10 and a nice red Q5 for her from Virgin Canada

Yep, like the young dude who waited on me at my Sprint store, who after asking for a Q10 said "Blackerry??" looking horrified. and when I said yes, he asked if I knew they went bankrupt and by next summer they would only be used in Africa (??)

Part of me wants to smack the employee. But if I'm fair, the fact these stories aren't unique means that the blame rests with Blackberry's marketing a communications department.

That is the usual response here as well. This was definitely a break from the norm.

He was using an android phone for his personal phone, but kept the conversation and sales pitch focused on what we were purchasing. I guess the term is 'professionalism '.

My wife really liked the torch, and had both the 9800 and the 9810. Wore them both out with all the social messaging etc. Showed her the Hub and all it does and I think she will enjoy it. So far so good.
