    Dear Q10 users,

    I don't know about you, but I have been waiting for a native WeChat client for ages.
    It is available on BBW some weeks ago but only for Z10.
    Now Q10 owners can join the party with the new beta release.
    I do believe the formal version will be on BBW soon but if you cannot wait, check this out:
    wechat_bb10_V1.0_Build019.bar (see attached zip files)

    Notes:
    1) In the zip file you fine the bar file. You will need to use Chrome or other methods to install the bar file, I guess you all know how to do it!
    2) The first time you try to login with your username and password, it will tell you that you are using beta version which require registration. And this will be done automatically. The program will direct you back to login screen. You just have to login again.
    3) Functional-wise, it is basically same as the Z10 version, meaning no friend-zone as in Android or iOS version just yet.

    Try it out and help! Have fun!

    Same here. But I am quite pleased just to have at least the native feel.
    Tencent is aggressive, they will keep up the work, I guess.

    I just wonder how to install it through chrome? Is that any tutorial for that? Cuz, I have Installed wechat 4.0 it doesn't work.

    I can't download wechat1.0 as it is not available for Q10.

    I noticed that when I receive voice messages, the sound is very quiet.. even on speaker mode.. It's seems to only be marginally louder than handset mode, and still comes out through the earpiece speaker rather than the speakerphone?
