I am new to Q10 (well, trying it again a year later)
My old bb fits 6 emails per screen
My Q10 with a higher resolution and bigger screen fits 4 messages.
I've tried googling and reducing the font size to 5. The message icon seems to be the biggest space waster.
Any other links or hints would be appreciated.
That was my biggest complaint about the Q10 as well coming from a Torch and Bold before that. I still haven't found a solution.
I think 10.3.1 or 10.3 is looking to fix this issue.

Its the blue banner at the top that wastes a lot of space, yes its basically like a PC and being able to look into folders, but I've never used it since I've had the phone (May 2013). 10.3.1 will hopefully have more visibility, because the context menu at the bottom has been shrunk, while the main action is just a large circle in the middle.

No, it is one of the strong points of legacy BBOS which didn't got carried over to BB10. No themes, no custom sound profiles, no option changing the font, etc. When it comes to customization, it more or less really boils down to wallpaper, icon arrangement and some other basic stuff.
Hopefully not double-typed with my Q10
