    hey folks,

can someone clarify wall charging for me? I know the wall jack i got in my Q10 box has an output of 5v+850ma.

i was wondering if i could use a motorola wall charger (longer cable) to charge my Q10 (output of 5v+500ma).

i know when i plug it into my phone it does charge, but im looking for clarification on whether it will damage my battery long term?

the way i understand it is it should not, but it will just take longer for my phone to charge. am i correct?

    thanks for reading,

    N

No damage but really slow to charge. May run down in use on the second charger.

im assuming that when you say it may run down in use on the second charger, you mean that the battery may not last as long if it is being charged with the 500ma charger?

I assume they meant that the charger may not be able to charge fast enough to match/overcome the amount of energy be expended.
I would suggest that you use the one that came in the box, one that matches or exceeds the OEM spec (Apple cubes run at 1000ma), or get a battery charger bundle. I just got mine on Monday and I haven't plugged my Berry into a wall since

    Read the article bellow:

    http://www.berryreview.com/2013/02/1...gers-amperage/

It is advised to use chargers within 750-850mAh range only. BlackBerry 10 devices may refuse to charge the battery if charger power is bellow 750mAh. Though it is not specifically mentioned in the article above, using high power chargers (above 850mAh) is not recommended, because they could hurt your batter.

    Hope that helps!

At work I just keep the cable plugged into one of the USB ports on my laptop. Our cubes are limited on wall plugs, so this is my only option.
