I have a VZM branded Q10, can I take it to TMo?

I know it can't go the other way, but I thought I read that VZM Q10s had both GSM and CDMA.

    Thanks for any info.

Yeah, it likely will work, but I'm not sure if you'll get LTE.

TMO's LTE band is in there, but if it's disabled to non-Verizon SIMs, it may not work. Also in there is the UMTS 1900 band--TMO's refarmed UMTS 1900 network compatible. It's most likely not disabled.

What's not in there is the UMTS 1700 band--TMO's primary UMTS band.

If you want, you could do a test drive of the TMO network, and use the nano SIM that comes with the iPhone in your Q10 to test the network out. More details about the test drive are here: T-Mobile Test Drive | Try our 4G LTE Network for Free ..or just borrow a TMO customer's SIM card and put it in your Q10.

I've done this with my Q10. Got a prepaid sim from best buy, activated it. Works, but no LTE. T MO will not work for me, crap coverage

I went from VZ to Tmo and tried to take my Q10... They tried and couldn't get it to work. Not saying it won't work, but they couldn't get it to work at my local Tmo store.

I brought my Q10 and Z30 into a tmo store and grabbed 4G LTE in minutes, maybe coverage issue?

It's more than a coverage issue. People who should be getting LTE on TMO with a Verizon Q10 or Z30 sometimes don't. It's like Verizon has a baseband block in these places.

It's amazing how even after the laws get put in place to limit this crap they still find ways to push you out if your device of from another carrier.

Egg-zactly. It's all about finding ways to keep making money off of you. The carriers are full of BS like this. All of them.

This is true. Although my Verizon Q10 was sold to me unlocked.

Right. SIM unlocked. But not baseband unlocked. Verizon isn't even required to sell you a SIM unlocked phone. What they are required to do is provided open access to a LTE band 13 device on a band 13 network--which doesn't really apply as this is a Verizon branded device.
