I purchased a unlocked Verizon branded Q10 (SQN100-2) and am using it in Canada with a cheapo carrier, who I gather is leasing the Rogers network--network information shows as "Rogers Wireless", 3g.

The question is, if I am using the local carrier's SIM card, why is the phone showing "Roaming" (I have Data Services Roaming set to OFF). This question sent to the phone seller got me an attitude-laden "Does it matter" response.

I can only guess that deep down--maybe at the firmware level?--it thinks the US is home? And if so, is there any way to clear that info?

    Thanks in advance.

Any Rogers people in the house that can help here?

As far as I know the Verizon Q10 should be able to get up to H+ on Rogers, but I'm not 100% sure.
