Haha yea. And then it didn't even update. Going to try OTA this afternoon. Never had a problem updating via desktop before, but can't say that anymore haha.

It really depends which version you're updating from. If you haven't updated in a while, the size of the update will be larger and take longer. Just keep your phone wired into USB and be patient - you'll get there.

Coming up on 5 hours and still updating. Officially the longest update ever. 10.1 to 10.2 was a fraction of this time. almost there haha

So, the Z10 got it, Q10 finally gets it, but I'm a Z30 user and still no update. Well, this sucks. Looks like the Z30 is going to be the last to get it. Seems as though they are going in the order that the phones were released.

And wouldn't it have been NICE if VZW actually communicated with us, their customers that they value so highly, to let us know that their roll out was going to be staged? Very disappointed with Big Red. It was so easy to make this a win and they let it fail.

I didn't notice a big change either. But for someone who hadn't updated since the previous VZW update (April, I think?) it might be a bigger difference - better battery life, for one.

Mine took about 30-45 minutes total. Didn't notice much of a difference except for battery life: It was very good, now it's great. And my phone is a smudge faster, too.

Just did the update. Why are all my text messages from contacts showing their numbers instead of names in Hub now?

Nevermind!

UI is much faster.

After any update, the device needs some time to re-index everything, especially if you have a large contact list, and to get used to the new radio, etc. Wait a day or so before worrying about battery life or how the hub looks. It will all settle down quickly enough.

What is actually in this update? I updated (took about an hour with WIFI) and I can't see anything different except the dialogue I get when deleting an email where it offers to delete from hub or also on server.

And what is a radio update all about? What should I expect out of that?

Does that include the camera flash no longer working? Tested both in camera and flashlight modes; doesn't work anymore.

No, the flash shouldn't be affected by the update. On my device I noticed a long time ago, that if I have the camera in Stabilisation Mode, the flash settings are grayed out. But that was long before this update, and seems to be the way it was designed. My flashlight works fine, however.

Have you already tried restarting the device? (Hold down both volume buttons until the screen goes black, and then let go.)

My suggestions were actually for rdedrick, who had different issues than you.

My txt notifications haven't changed. Have you tried using a different sound file and see if that gets interrupted too?

Also try updating or re-installing Blackberry World.

Since the update, whenever I take a picture, it won't save it in the gallery, the picture disappears.

Check camera settings and see where it saves to by default. You can change this to the path of your choice (e.g. SD card).

Then close camera app completely and re-open it. See if your pictures show up again.

Ooooooh crap. I had turned of my Q10, I just turned it back on, ALL my pics have disappeared.
And I looked in my camera settings, I do not have the option to see where pics are saved.
