I will be traveling to London, Paris, and Amsterdam later this year and am wondering whether I will be able to use my Q10 STL-100 (from the U.S.) I'm T-Mobile in the U.S., but the phone's unlocked and I can always get a prepaid SIM. I'm mostly just thinking in terms of the frequencies this phone uses vs those used in Europe.

Any or all advice is welcome :-) ... Thank you!

Q10 STL-100? No... Because such thing does not exist, therefore cannot be used.

    now, if you have a
Q10 SQN-100-Something... Yeah, it will work. It will have to be a SQN-100-2 to be able to go 4G LTE over there though.

    Better to have a SQN-100-3

@Acolburn, Check here : Q10 Models and Supported Frequencies - BlackBerry Forums at CrackBerry.com
Could be, but I am quite sure SQN-100-2s are good because the UK (and a good chunk of Europe) uses the same bands as we do here in Brasil.

It will be hard to find a -2 here. Bought my -3 in England, I live in France now. The -3 is the "European" version

@OP, you just have to check the radios available in your phone vs the ones provided by the carrier in Europe, before buying a SIM

I'm from the Netherlands. Your SQN100-1 will work just fine here. The only downside is that you won't be able to use the 4G Internet speeds. Those are on other bands in most European countries and networks. So you're going to be restricted to 3G.
I used to have a SQN100-1 myself that I bought second hand, so it's from experience that it will work.

Thank you all for your replies. Just to clarify, I already have a model 100; I'm not asking re: purchasing one. I'm just trying to find out whether I'll be able to use it in London, Paris, and Amsterdam (... and it would appear that the answer is yes, at 3G speeds...).

Not all carriers share the same radio in a region.
