Going to buy a Tmobile Q10 when they go on sale next week. What steps need to be taken to get it working on ATT?

    Thanks for the help guys!

Just need to unlock it and pop your AT&T SIM in.

    Thanks.

Will I get 3G speeds or just Edge (E) network?

You will get LTE and HSPA speeds depending on your area. There are a number of sites that will unlock for you.

I believe you will only get EDGE because At&t and TMO run off different gsm bands.

Anyone else know for sure about the 3G or Edge limitations?

    Isn't T-Mobile offering the SQN 100-5?

From the T-Mobile website: T-Mobile is enhancing its network by adding high-speed 4G data capabilities on the AWS 1900 band (used by AT&T iPhones and all iPhone 5s). In areas where the network has not yet been updated, iPhones will operate at 2G (EDGE) speeds. Check at your local T-Mobile store on network status in your area.

What about ATT branded Q10 on TMobile?

Not true. TMO is using the SQN 100-5. It has all the HSPA and LTE bands that AT&T uses. It will work fine on AT&T as long as it is unlocked.

The AT&T branded one will be missing the HSPA band 1700 which TMO still uses, so it won't work as well as it should.

So AT&T branded Q10 will work on the TMobile 4G network but not LTE?

If you are in an area that has re-farmed network of 1900, you will get HSPA

    I would not do it
