Tried connecting a 64GB sandisk dual use usb drive, formatted in exFAT, but the Q10 does absolutely nothing when I plug it in. I ticked USB mass storage mode in the settings menu... any ideas what the problem is? Thanks

As far as I know this option is only available for Z30.
    Sorry.

Gah! There seems to be loads of conflicting info about that though, I've read several times that the Z10 is the only BB10 device that doesn't support it....

I know it's available on the Z30. But I think it's the only one that has that

I read somewhere that the q10 would take up to 32Gb...and the others 64Gb.
Pretty sure it was quoted in some official documentation - perhaps on the leaflet at the Telstra store...or Telstra's online store? Not 100% sure anymore, sorry, but I know I read it somewhere.

I believe that's referring to the SD media card. It supports a 32GB card (which I use) and can even support a 64GB card (after re formatting it).

Yeah it can definitely take a 64gb sd card, really frustrating about the usb failure though!!

USB OTG is only supported by the Z30.

The Q10 officially supports SD cards up to 32 GB, but 64 GB cards work just fine, so long as you let the device format it.

If I can get USB OtG on my Q10 it will completely solve my formula for "Mobile computing" for me between that, my Q10 and my PB. Is it a hardware thing or is the software just omitted for the Q for whatever reason?

Good question, would be good to know if it's possible with a future software update or if someone can develop an app for it.....
