    I have utilized blackberry link several times with my windows 7 pro. Now suddenly in spite of windows restarts, my computer nor link is recognizing the Q10.

    Anyone seen this before? Any ideas?

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled link on both my laptop and desktop, both running win7 pro. I have tried two different usb cables. All I get when plugging into the desktop is "use the charger that came with your device" on the phone itself and nothing on the computer. When I plug it into the laptop I get the "usb device not recognized".

    Surely my Q10 has not crapped out with a faulty usb plug after only a couple of months!??

    If it has crapped out, how on earth do I get my files off to back them up?

    happening to me too. I wanted to do a device switch and it keeps giving me an error message before step 4.
