yup, I also had the same impression at first so will it be the N series for you or are you hesitating?

I really don't know. I still have 23 months in my contract, so it would be $300 for an early upgrade + whatever the contract price of the N series is (possibly $200)

Well, here in Belgium, there is no such things as upgrade, so it will be full price anyway...

Touch sensitive frets. I like it. That is a great idea and fits with the theme of BB10 being intuitive and learning how you type. And as in the demo they were talking about the touch screen learning where you hit the keys and adapting. Maybe they could you the same idea if you miss a key altogether and it senses what you meant to type and gives you a suggestion on the screen instead of having to hit the backspace and start over. I'm very excited.

Based on today's news, this could be the keyboard for the upcoming Dev Alpha C device, which means we might just get a surprise with a different (better) keyboard for the upcoming N-series!

There any chance the frets on this keyboard contain some type of digital component where the suggested "flick up" words could be placed there and match the experience of the L series? Probably not but maybe down the line.

Not really, it looks great. I wouldn't buy the N series though. May as well get the Droid Pro, or the Motorola Admiral. Terrible design here. Its not comfortable to type on. God help the N series.

This is a repeat of comment I did on another post; "Has RIM EVER made a bad keyboard on the Bold/Curve type devices?" My guess is it will be awesome to type on, but we won't know until we can go hands on. What will stop me from getting a "Nevada" is if it has no keyboard shortcuts, and/or they don't handle navigation well with no trackpad.

I wonder if the new bold will have orientation based on it's larger screen. It would be nice to tilt it side ways and make use of the bigger screen for video watching.
That's what the playbook is for....

It would be nice to have on the phone. Not everyone will invest in a PB. Example, enterprise and federal government are not necessarily going to invest in a phone AND a PB.

If this pic is real, why the Blackberry logo is on the top and take soooo much free space? Just put it at the bottom and put a bigger screen.
theres a reason for everything. maybe there is specific hardware under that piece of plastic making it unusable space for the screen.

It's not the logo that needs the space. It's what's inside. The logo just fits where there's a nice big spot to put it.
