When receiving a call, sometimes, the screen starts to flash on and off and it is not possible to slide the bar down.
When I touch a bar, the call gets silenced, but cannot be answered since the bar won't move down.
Original AT&T software 10.1.0.2006

No, it's a different problem. I am not on a call; the call comes in, I see the call, but I cannot slide the bar down to answer because the screen goes dark.

The screen on my new Q10 intermittently goes black and does not allow me to answer or end calls. I think it is
becoming progressively worse. Any suggestions?

I think that you're likely inadvertently covering the light sensor. This above the screen to the left of the speaker. It becomes active when a call is coming in (yes, before you even answer it), so a finger over it will cause the screen to go dark. Test it, call yourself from another phone and while it is ringing cover the light sensor.
