Very frustrating. I swipe down from my Hub and go to Twitter (and SIM card) contacts and turn them off, and they do turn off for a period of time and then re-appear (not sure when, but within a day, possibly after a batter replacement, which of course is required at least once a day due to poor battery life, but that's becides the point).

Anyone have any fixes or do we just have to wait forever for Blackberry to introduce a fix?

There is no fix as of yet, BlackBerry still thinks we need these ******* social account contacts in our contacts list.
