Hey there, so I will be leaving Verizon soon and starting service with T-Mobile. I am sick of paying Verizon so much and being locked in a contract! Anyways, I am wondering if this phone: Amazon.com: Blackberry Q10 SQN100-1 Unlocked GSM Phone with 4G LTE (700/850/1700/1900), BlackBerry 10 OS, Dual-Core Processor, 3.1" Super AMOLED Touchscreen + Full QWERTY Keyboard, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and microSD Slot - White: Cell Phones & Ac would work on T-Mobile's network? The only thing I know is that T-Mobile is a GSM network while Verizon is CDMA. This phone says it's unlocked GSM in the title so will this work? If not, do you know how else I can get a white Q10 to use with T-Mobile? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Risky because it doesn't support 1700mhz HSPA and tmobile doesn't have 3G on a different band in all locations...

It'll work with T-Mobile's HSPA+ and LTE if the Q10 specs is really as stated there, which supports 1700MHz frequency. T-Mobile USA afaik is using 1700MHz for its HSPA and LTE, they also refarming 1900MHz for its HSPA at some big cities. Cmiiw

    Hey welcome to CB!

SQN 100-1 will work on Tmobile, but on LTE only. For full Tmobile support, SQN100-5 is the model you're looking for.

I don't see my city listed on T-Mobile's website as an LTE area, so I would mainly be running off their 3G/ HSPA+ network which mostly is on 1700MHz? I am trying to understand all this frequency stuff lol

Yeah SQN100-5 is the version Tmobile will be distributing (I can't confirm if the white is available in this model). I believe you can get it as far as i know in white for the 100-1 and 100-3 (Canadian carriers). The 100-3 model will work with Tmobile on the HSPA network (not LTE)

Regarding the frequency and models for the Q10 refer to this great post, it will help clear the confusion. http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...encies-798804/

Im on tmobile with a white sqn100-1 and it works great (south florida). It all depends on your area. This phone does not support tmob 1700 band, but will work on new tmob reframing 1900 (same as att) and lte. If you know anyone using an unlocked att iphone 5 on tmob, the sqn100-1 should perform similarly.

Some of you stated wrong info:
For many years T-Mobile has been using AWS band for their HSPA+ which is a combo of 1700 and 2100 Mhz at the same time (one for send, another for receive).
Since last year, they had started to roll out HSPA+ on 1900 spectrum so they can free up space for LTE on the AWS band. Its a mess.
So this phone might work on 3.5G if t-mobile has a 1900Mhz in your market. The easiest way to check this is to grab a ATT phone that is not a pentaband and scan for networks. If you see T-Mobile 3G listed than they have 1900mhz on.

Since you don't have a LTE for your city they either don't have 1900 on or they have it and are currently working on turning on LTE.

I'm on Verizon and my Q10 is the SQN100-2 model. Bought it straight from Verizon when I ported my number from Sprint to Big Red less than a month ago.
