I can't seam to get my aol account to sync with the leaked os. I tried it both ways iamp and pop and got errors both times. Any ideas

The only reason I have a Aol account is its my company's email I can't change it now.

I'm just messing, I don't have any idea why it won't sync but I'm guessing it's not due to AOL. BB10 has been hit and miss with email errors across the board.

Can / does BlackBerry 10 accept POP3 details or do accounts always have to be IMAP?

I'm sick of emails deleting from handheld and server - or vice versa.

Hoping Delete on Handheld is introduced to BlackBerry 10 in 10.2?

You can indicate the type of protocol (POP/IMAP) your email server is using while setting the account up.
All legacy BBOSes offer the option to only delete the messages on the handheld or the server which is NOT complaint to standards.

This feature (that has a purpose ONLY with POP based email servers and should have yanked off the BBOS decade ago when email servers with IMAP protocol gained popularity) has significant amount of fans.

Dear fellow Blackberry users;
Please understand that you're unconsciously attempting to break your inbox while choosing to delete a message ONLY on your handheld.

IMAP protocol exist to prevent an Inbox from having various versions on various devices.

The new BB10 OS is standards-complaint hence can not allow the user to delete a message off of your BB10 handheld and let it continue to reside on the server.

I'd recommend forwarding to a hotmail or gmail account and adding that to the BB. Why fight with it, life is too short.

It's my company's email so it has to work correctly. If I can't get it to work I'll have to go back to my iphone

did it work with an earlier os? if it did revert. if not then go back to what worked and remember leaks haven't been tested nor are they expected to be supported in the least.

I'm having the exact same issue with my AOL email .. worked fine until the last few days .. Running the 10.2.0.1047 leaked version / Z10 STL 100-4

I'm using OS10.2 with AOL and have been fine. My guess is there is a bug in the leaked version. AOL has strict privacy filters. Can you upload the official OS? If not, try a data wipe.
