Moving forward BB10 devices will no longer use the trackpad we are all accustomed to.

But there is a possibility to replicate the trackpad without having one. Here's the idea:

BB10 can utilize a mouse cursor, but instead of using a trackpad the touchscreen itself is a trackpad that guides the cursor. The idea is very similar to the Vmware View app for iOS and Android. Vmware View is a client that access a virtual desktop. When you access a Windows VMview client on your ipad, iphone, or android device you can use the screen itself to move the mouse cursor. Double tapping the screen performs a left click. Tap two fingers perform a right click.

If you've used vmware view on a mobile device then you know what I mean. Its a great idea and I'm sure i can work on BB10 OS.

I think the edit "bubble" in B10 does the same thing as the trackpad. Tap the screen and move the bubble in the text box. Otherwise, the screen itself will act like the trackpad as the screen is a touch screen.
