Does anyone know or have any thoughts on why blackberry abandoned the torch form factor? It seems to be a total no brainer as the best form factor... people like big screens for browsing, people like keyboards, put the two together and you have a winner, just try too make it not too thick somehow.

Probably sales weren't great relative to qwerty and all touch form factors. I had one and enjoyed it for the most part..

I don't like it. Too big, seems awkward. Big screen with keyboard ? What about a Z10 form factor with a keyboard ?

I really hope they come out with a bb10 slider, even though I never had one the torch was one of the coolest phones out there

Z10 form factor with sliding keyboard works too... the torch was too small, but you get the idea, big screen + keyboard + bb10 = winner. I'd keep the trackpad from torch/9900 era, that thing was genius, I was so fast with it for highlighting and copy/pasting.
