I'm in the processing of updating now I hope it doesn't happen, but if everyone knows about it BlackBerry's gotta know too and they should fix it

Same here with my new Q10. On the Z10, the volume is OK, but on the Q10 it is significantly lower.

Same problem with my z10 after the update. The notification sound volume is very low. I have to put it at maximum to hear something and the sound itself is not clear.

I am curious how long BlackBerry needs to fix this issue. This is an essential for any device. Without proper notification it's useless! Unbelievable that something like this could happen!

This has been an issue from Day 1 of the beta release. I have reported it as a bug after every single update and it has never been fixed.

Same issue with my Passport. Notifications volume is 50% LOWER.
Ring volume for phone calls is still loud as ever, though.

I have both volume sliders set to high and it's still really low. Typical 'engineers' at Blackberry ... no COMMON SENSE. Not much wonder BB has such a bad name. Hope they'll fix this flaw before bankruptcy.

Same issue here. After getting 10.3.1 update for my Q10 my alarms, notifications and rings are very low on volume What a shame... Tbh I think that's unacceptable, barely hear anyone calling with 100% volume.

Same here. Q10 with low notifications volume. Went back to official 10.2.1.3442 and all is good again. This volume issue was a real deal breaker for me. Too bad because otherwise 10.3.1 looked pretty cool.

As you get old the 2 things to fail first are your eyesight & your hearing. Thank you BlackBerry for reducing the icon size & lowering the volume on all apps to test how far my senses have deteriorated!!!!!
At least can I have full volume back ASAP.
    Thank you!

    Great point (simonbarnes) )
This isn't a small issue. If you can't hear your phone (from a different reason beside being deaf), especially a Blackberry, a device that is supposed to be reliable for it's main purpose, taking calls, than what is the point having it?
This problem must be solved very quickly, not in weeks or months.I don't belive that Blackberry can afford to mess with the customers, they don't have a safety net...
So BB, at least let us know that you noticed this PROBLEM and take responsibility.

Just to keep you informed what doesn't help to fix the issue:

I just did a security wipe and reinstalled the OS without restoring my backup. The outcome: same as before, notifications volume still low.

So we'll have to wait for an OS fix

I also tried the security wipe based on advice found elsewhere in the forums to no avail. Simply unacceptable from BlackBerry to release a major update with such a deal breaking bug.

You need to search the forums for the last official 10.2.1.3442 autoloader. Be sure to get the right one for your Q10. That's the only way to revert back.
