So I just got a replacement phone and did a restore...so everything is working fine but the text messages are acting weird. it's showing as the numbers, and not my contact names. And it's being weird. When I send a message, it doesn't show in the hub, I have to physically go into the thread to see that it was sent. Is this normal while everything loads up or is there a fix for this? Thanks!

Hold volume up and down. Till the BlackBerry 10 screen pops up.

I had a similar problem with my Z10 a while back. It went away on its own. Did you recently come from an iPhone?

No, Blackberry forever. And the test text I sent myself..finally came...10 mins later! I want this fixed.

Should I restore phone back to factory settings then restore again?

Did you restore from back up initially? Maybe there's an issue with your carrier?

I would do a full reload (BlackBerry link) without a restore from back up. If you have your calendar and contacts stored with your email provider or computer, it won't take too long. I never restore from back up, even when I get a new BlackBerry (I bought Z30 and Q10 within a month), I start from scratch. Good luck!

I will try a restore one more time. Which custom option would include text messages...application data or device settings and local contacts/calendar data?

Sorry, I don't understand the question. If your asking for contacts and calendars, you can sync from your Q10 to your Gmail, outlook, or whichever provider you use.

I'm doing a restore via Link but I don't want/need to do a full restore..a custom restore which includes options you can select or deselect:

    Application Data
    Media
Device Settings and Local Contacts/Calendar Data

Which one of those options includes the text messages/e-mail stuff so I can restore those only?

I am not sure if you can do a selective restore, as I have never done that on any of my BlackBerry 10 devices. I used to do that with the older BlackBerry desktop manager.
