I recently got a Blackberry Q10 and found my Telus email setting from my Bold did not work. I am on the Rogers Cellular Network but I have Telus Internet at the office and have been using a Telus email address for a million years. You cannot use Telus Outgoing email server (Quote from telus: If your mobile device is connected to a non-TELUS Wi-Fi network, you may need to use the outgoing (SMTP) email server settings of your Wi-Fi Internet Service Provider (ISP), instead of smtp.telus.net.) from another cell network but you can use there incoming mail server. I struggled with it for a while but after much searching the web for a solution this is what I found. You have to use the advanced options to configure the email account and if you are not a Telus subscriber (if you are, stop reading). I set-up a GMail email account with a very strong password. I use the GMail outgoing email server as the outgoing email sever. Works great!

    Blackberry Q10 Email settings:

    Description:
Telus (Or call it what you want)

    Display Name
Your Name (Usually your Full name as it would be displayed on the receivers email client)

    Username:
[email protected] (Your current telus email account)

    Email Address:
[email protected] (Your current telus email account)

    Password:
    Your Telus email password

    Server Address:
    imap.telus.net

    Port:
    143

    Encryption
    Off [Set to]

    IMAP Path prefix:
    [Blank]

    SMTP Username
    [email protected]

    SMTP Password:
    Your Gmail Password

    SMTP Server Address:
    smtp.gmail.com

    SMTP Port:
    465

    SMTP Encryption:
    SSL [Set to]

    Use push if supported: [On]

    Sync Interval:
    5 Minutes

I'm giving this a go, because as I stands, I need to constantly change my SMTP server because my Cell carrier "BELL" SMTP mail.1xbell.ca will not work when I'm on my home office Telus WiFi, I have to turn off WiFi to send out emails over Telus. If the Gmail SMTP is working weather you are on WiFi or not, this is fantastic info. I'll give it a go.
