I disassembled my Q10. In the process I messed up 1 screw and lost 3 others. These T4 screws are tiny! So I am looking to buy some but need to know if they are metric or SAE threads.

Hmm I use a Torx 5 to do these. Torx is Torx why is there sae or metric? Not like it is in mm or inches.
I wasn't aware that it does not have an sae nor metric thread. So then, Torx also means a specific thread pitch etc all by itself? Then that would mean I just have to look for T4 Torx and not worry about thread pitch (sae/metric) ?
Thanks your your input.
ah I see what you mean for the thread. I would just assume you buy screws made for Q10. I have a bunch laying around just from dead devices. I was thinking the tools. you were referring to the actual screws. Sorry.
It's okay. Thank you for clearing it up.
That's an amazing question. I doubt anyone knows, measure yourself?
I have a few bags here labeled and they are all labeled in metric. although they are all not for Q10 but BB.
from what I can see they are labeled like so M1.2 x 3.80mm, etc. however the ones for Q10 seem shorter so I can only assume they are like M1.2 x 3.00mm or something.
I have a thread pitch device for metric only. But, the screws are so small that I have a hard time trying to see if they are metric. I am gonna pickup a desktop magnifier from Walmart this Friday and this should help my vision. These screws are only 4-5 mm long. If I can figure out metric or sae, then I can find a non torx screw to take its place. I have looked all over the web including McMaster-car and they don't have T4 screws. None on Ebay-USA. None on Amazon USA nor on Amazon UK (although they did list them but as "unavailable" on the UK site).
Maybe you can ask the seller from here

Thank you for that info. I sent an email to the seller.
Hi, what was the motivation to disassemble the device? I see you guys having an earnest discussion regarding thread pitch.
Off the topic slightly but still looking at assembly, I have a fascination regarding calibre of timepieces, certain mechanical thresholds are highly calculated regarding accuracy and I have never considered the milling of your missing screws. You reckon BlackBerry would factor that in (mechanical thresholds? ).
My motivation to take it apart was to install a new bezel. Everything went fine except for those screws. lol.
Ebay dealer did not respond so I bought a non working Q10 off ebay for parts (including all the torx screws).
