OP is right there's a discount on these devices. Only problem is I have to buy my q10 off contract and ATT has it for 389$ more than I'm willing to spend at this point.

    Sound like awesome deals!
Now with 10.2.1 out, it should lure in some more new users!

Sadly, here in the U.S., you'd have to PAY some people to use a BlackBerry...

I'm not sure these deals will attract anybody.

I called them last week for Q10, they asked me to pay $580 out of contract.
    Z10 was $300.

I guess it's time to call again and tell them G2 didn't live up their promise and I still want a z30.

    It's all about marketing.
Don't tell me my 60 year old uncle will walk into a wireless store and say "I want Samsung Galaxy S4 with 32GB storage, I really want this phone because I can root it and get rid of bloatware and I understand it has good benchmark scores".. No, they just walk in and say "I want to get a nice new one that I can talk to my grandchildren, chat with friends, check the news, maybe text a few people and some apps" So what does the store do? They point them to their most profitable device, most likely android.. If this retiree is offered a Z10, would it just reject it right away? I seriously doubt it.

So don't go blaming Blackberry devices or app support, blame the company for not putting carriers & vendors on the spot for not supporting it. If Blackberry (company) doesn't care that their devices sell, why should carriers? I think we all care about the company and feel sentimental about it a whole lot more than those million dollar hot shots sitting on BBRY chairs. I have the utmost respect for anyone who is actively developing for blackberry and working on improving the user experience while BB's PR and Marketing sits on their fat asses day after day, and perhaps even play candy games on their iphones or androids.

This price is for 2 year contract on ATT. If free device, you pay more per month on contract. $15 more per month. If bring your own device there is no contract, then there is $15 discount ATT applies. So free is actually $360 over 2 years.

Actually I got $10 off my bill per month for 1 year + $100 credit + $25 for android device.
So if you push AT&T and you are already out of contract, you can get the phone for free and get $10/mo discount on top.

Also, AT&T's new ETF is now $325 up from $200.
They complied with federal requirement that pushed them to gradually decrease ETF each month, but they jacked the full ETF up.
You can also ask AT&T if they have any refurbs for cheap, I see they want $0 for both refurbs and new, so maybe you can get a refurb Z10 without contract for $150-$200.

Call and renegotiate. It all depends on how long you had the service for and how much you are paying per month for 3 lines.

Can't believe I spent $200. I was such a sucker for sucker for such a disappointing device. No one is buying these things.

Be careful. Free isn't Free. Requires a two year commitment.

Who would ever do that at this point???

One of the things we could always depend on was buying a new Blackberry for $200 or so and being able to resell it for $200-300 used 12-18 months down the line when the next geration comes out.

Now, with the problems with these devices and the issues with the company, I don't they can give them away.

I suspect the $1 billion write off was low, but not nearly as costsly as the defectors and lost customer acquisitions.

You can easily sell whatever BB10 device you have for $200 now and go get an android. It's better to have a happy android user than an unhappy BlackBerry user.....
