I haven't seen this being mentioned anywhere but in this video at 8:30 he swipes the browser active frame up and it closes the frame, can someone confirm this on a z10?

I actually didn't find him really swiping up.
He always touches the x in the right corner.

Hrm it sure looks like a swipe to me.... to me it looks like he swipes up to the left starting at the x, but if he is sliding his finger, most phones don't consider that as a 'click', so the app shouldn't close otherwise.

Swipe up to close has been a gesture on the PlayBook from the beginning, so no surprise if they decide to implement it in BB10.

This is a playbook action and i believe was in early releases of the bbOS10, i can't remember which versions, when it shipped. I no longer have my Z10 to check but it might be version dependent and being phased out or coded out to be re-introduced later. Hopefully BBRY will be doing more with active tiles and there should be lots of work going on in this area so some of the more subtle features could be adjusted as new releases roll out.

There is no swipe to close the active frames. With the scrolling up and down between the 2 pages of them, there would be a lot of people inadvertently closing apps by accident.

i do that all the time with z10. swipe up, then hit x. with playbook, swipe up and the app gets minimized at the middle of the screen. swipe up again and it disappears from the screen. i have not tried the second swipe with the z if it works to close the app.

mm.. doesn't look like a swipe to me. it's a tap on the x. there's no swipe to close like on the playbook.

I would like to add this comment now as I had expected this to be implemented in a future os. I a on 10.2.1.1055 and nothing like this has even been spoken about. I am all for this. I actually try to do it still all the time. It is a natural instinct. lol

I have been wanting to see this for a while. Yeah, it may not be feasible with BB 10. iOS 7 now uses it, way better than the old way iOS closed out apps.

Would be so annoying on games like minion rush that were primarily designed for android and probably lots of other android ports.
