[Sequester#WN]

I have just met a former colleague of mine and we both use Blackberries since more than 10 years. Both of us always had company phones and in the past used them for calls, email, address book and calendar. And that's it.

I have switched to BlackBerry as my private mobile as well. My colleague however still used his Q10 (company phone) just the way he used his old phones. He did not even know that there is a BlackBerry World! I installed Whatsapp (a "must" in Germany) and some other apps on his phone and promised to help setting up his new BlackBerry properly when there is some time. To cut a long story short: he will get rid of his private iPhone as he thinks that his Q10 can do the trick as well as his Apple thing.

I wonder how many people like him are there around who have no idea how to use this phone with all its capabilities.

Probably lots, but that could be said of numerous users on any mobile platform.

Trying to connect sometimes with other parents using an iPhone typically, it's somewhat shocking how few have heard of WhatsApp or BBM.

I should imagine there are quite a lot who haven't explored all the capabilities of a BB10 device. Either because they simply use the phone as they used their old feature phone and don't think to use many of the features, or because they just haven't discovered all they will do.

Most of us on here are fortunate to read of anything new to the OS, new tips and shortcuts, how to get the best from BB10, and so virtually know all about a new model before we even get our hands on it
