If you mean applications written for Linux or android, if it supports android 4.3, then yes.
Please define what you mean by "software".

Anupreeth, I rarely say this but between this post and your other post about games it seems like you're not too keen on using a device running Blackberry 10. May I ask your logic on getting a Q10 in the first place? BB10 is still an awesome OS and very powerful and productive for many people, but it sounds like you may be wanting to run a different OS...

Okay, just checking. In that case the answer is no, you cannot run any OS other than Blackberry 10 on any BB10 device due to the security features of the software. With that said, please keep asking if you have any other questions about apps, as many of them (both native and Android) still work well.

Smoothly? Not really. But the Kiwi Android browser is pretty good.

All other native browsers use the same old WebKit engine.

Smoothly might be a relative term... eye of the beholder type thing.

I'd suggest that you try some of them....

Firefox

Browsie, Zeus, and Qbrowser are just reskins of the native browser. Any perceived improvement is likely just placebo effect. That said, Browsie and Qbrowser have nice extra features such as ad block.

Will the Kiwi browser have the same issues with outdated security that causes Browsie, Zeus & the stock browser to "protect me" from more than 50% of websites that it won't allow me to add an exception for? If so, do I get it from APKmirror?

Best to install it and check if it opens the pages you need it to open...but yes, you should be fine.

Kiwi will open any page that Chrome or any other modern web browser will open - just slower on a BB10 device.

Sounds good, but the reason I was uncertain is the BEOL browser has some of the same issues. But I'll install Kiwi and see! ;-)
