I did just that via NFC earlier today.

Can someone explain step by step -- i have no idea how to do it LOL
Sorry
First turn on NFC on both devices.
Open Contacts.
Long press the first contact until it turns blue and then select the bottom box on the right side menu with a check mark in it.
Proceed to tap all contacts you want to send over turning them blue.
Then select the bottom share icon on the right.
Select NFC.
Tap the back of both devices together until they vibrate.
Wait.

Or turn on blue tooth and pair the two devices. Then go into your contacts and transfer contacts in the options. It's quick. Takes a couple minutes and you don't have to manually click on each contact.

Thank you sir :)
Hey i dont see an option called "Transfer"
Check in the blue tooth menu. I did it from my bold to z10. I don't remember the exact steps but if you still can't find it then I will check when I get home and turn the bold on and try it again.

Yeah i checked ... I think maybe it's cuz that option only appears for the Bold ... not Q10!
Use this app :D (free and offline/local)

Make sure you backup to csv and not vcard. In my case, vcard was missing info (specifically addresses). Csv worked without issue
Edit: vCard is fixed. Use vcard
If you have a lot of contacts, wait for to populate before importing again
Use a Gmail, Exchange or something to manage your contacts. Saves transferring them and if you lose the device, you wont lose numbers.
So annoying when you get the "Lost my phone please send me your numbers" post on FB.
Some people don't like using cloud services and the app I just posted allows you to backup the contacts to a file (you can keep the file wherever you want.. on your SD card, computer or a cloud service like Dropbox, email etc. )
I'm trying the device switch app. Seems to be working so far.

Device switch is the best method.
Q10 happy owner
ContactsImEx is an awesome suggestion. Thank you for the post!
Downloading and installing the app on my old Q10 took less than a minute, and exporting the contacts took less than 2 minutes.
I then emailed the file to my new Classic and I was done.
Its worth mentioning that you dont need the app to import the vcf file onto your new phone.
The OS will import the contacts for you.
Try BlackBerry Link and change device?

I used an app called Contact Manager.
Cost barely anything and made the process take barely minutes.
I'm with jgrlover, NFC is the coolest BlackBerry function.
This is one useful thread in a while now.
