Had the worst day of this year, I have a nano-sim which I use in my iPhone 5 to use the same sim with my Q10 I purchased a sim adapter which makes my sim, a micro sim when needed.
Today while I was trying to remove the sim card from my Q10 , the adapter got stuck and damaged the sim reader of my BlackBerry .
I think I have damaged 2 connectors of the phone.
Guys, can anyone faced the same issue? If yes how did u get it repaired?

Where can I get the replacement part in India?
Blackberry won't help, as my handset is a imported one.

Oh I feel your pain. I did the exact same thing on Wednesday, same situation with an iPhone 5. I'm guessing you don't have insurance through your carrier? In my case, I had insurance on my Q10 which I removed on Monday and then managed to damage the pins on Wednesday.

There are several places I found online (including eBay) that sell the SIM card tray. The problem for me is I have no clue how to repair it myself nor did I know who else would be able to since it is soldered directly to the board. With the demands of my job, I couldn't wait to figure out what to do and ended up buying a new Q10 from my carrier yesterday. I'll probably just try to sell my broken Q10 for parts to someone who would know how/attempt to fix it. I may end up selling my iPhone 5 too since all I really need is my BlackBerry. I was having withdrawals without it!

    Good luck!

Ouch, that is extremely unfortunate! Sorry to hear that.

Thats very unfortunate. Good to know that sim adaptors can ruin your phone so we can avoid it. I'd rather go for a sim change for a nominal fee if thats the case.
