Just brought an used Q10 from ebay, just paid to get it unlocked however, I test three different sim cards and I still can't get the phone to recognise any of them

I done a whole wipe but problem still persists.

Has it really been unlocked successfully? I've never owned locked devices, so I don't know how the whole unlocking process works.
However since you've already tried three different SIMs, we can already rule out a bad card. Leaves us with IMO two options:
    1. A bad SIM slot, which is broken and doesnKt read any SIM cards at all. While rare, it can actually happen. I've read about it for other phones.
    2. The unlocking process was not successful and your device is still locked - refusing to accept the SIMs you're trying to use.

Its unlocked, all three options state unlocked and you can't enter to unlock it anymore as the phone has been successfully unlocked. Hope that makes sense.

Sounds like either your sim cards are all bad, or your sim reader slot is shot

If your phone shows you this, it is unlocked:

However, if it shows you this, it is locked:

If it's unlocked for sure, maybe the SIM slot really has gone bad. If the phone is branded, is there any way you could get that carrier's SIM card to try?

Just file a report with eBay and call PayPal they will get your money back even if the seller wont but give the seller a chance to return
your cash. Problem is you unlocking the phone, the seller is going to say it was tampered with. Of course you can't use another
service without unlocking it. Good luck with that one but don't tell anyone you unlocked the phone.

Sprint Q10s are weird. They either just cannot be unlocked, or Sprint is not giving out unlock codes for them.

If a nano sim adapter was inserted without the card present it would break off the contact points. If the description on Ebay did not address the condition specifically, then open a case.

Good luck with fixing this. Agree with filing an eBay claim as an earlier poster mentioned. If you starting toying around with it though, entering unlock codes and what not, that may impact your return warranty though.

You can always try taking it to a cell shop and let them have a look. They might be able to diagnose the problem.
