I've found a Q10 for sale, pretty cheap! But the thing is, it was dropped in a cocktail... I've been told that it was took out straight out, I don't know what was done after that, The phone didn't turn back on after that, but the indicators are still white, so I'm thinking it could need a new battery or something? As they did not have a new battery to try.

Should I take the risk? It is only cheap because of that reason, and if I sold it again non working I'd be loosing on about 20 quid?

If you're a gambler. Most moisture-damaged devices are never the same, even if they are functional.

I'd pass. I wouldn't risk my time on it. If it doesn't work for the seller I'd probably bet they also tried to get their phone to work also with no success before listing it for sale. Just my thought.

Go on to the next one, regardless of how much they are asking for it, you may wind up paying much more if it has issues.

It's not due here till about friday or saturday So will find out then if I've wasted my money or weather it was a risk worth taking!

If the new battery doesn't do anything and it still doesn't turn on, is there anything else I could try? Or is there anywhere in the UK I can take it to get it checked?

I could see if you were duped into buying it on ebay or something, but knowingly buying an electrical device that has been in water is just asking for problems. Would you buy a car that was in a flood?
