So i switched from rogers z10 to q10. With the z10 i had LTE everywhere, with the q10 i have 4G everywhere and no LTE. I called to tech, they really had no idea wtf was going on, then i got through to another tech agent that had a blackberry rep there and they went to go ask them. Turns out there are 2 rogers q10 models. One that is the same as the z10 and one that picks up different LTE (2600) and i happened to get the 2600 one. I asked them how to get the other one and they told me the other ones are for business customers since they travel a lot and 2600 is not common in other countries yet as much as the other bands. So now im stuck with 4G and trying to find the other model. The agent told me the model in rogers system will show up as RIMNUS, that's the non 2600 version.

I have the SQN 100-3 from Rogers. Probably the same as you?

Where are you located? Doesn't the 2600 one roll to lower frequency LTE when 2600 isn't available?

Just got off phone with rogers, there is RIMN, and RIMNUS, the US ending one is non 2600. I have to go to store and exchange, and if stores don't have it then they said best option is to return to store then call in and do upgrade. I remember store saying they saw 2 and they had some difficulties processing the upgrade originally, and they mentioned 2 different prices, so i will update when i find out more, just thought i should let others know before they start complaining about rogers or blackberry.

RIMN and RIMNUS are how it shows up in rogers internal system, that's not the actual model number, i have RIMN so that is SQN100-3, not sure yet what RIMNUS is.

are you sure? my one that is 100-1 is Bell, and i do not think it has the 2600 band

Rogers has 2 different ones, one gets 2600 and one does not. The one that does get 2600 is the one i have - RIMN aka SQN100-3 aka RFN81UW.

I need to get the other one - RIMNUS, and from what I found online it looks like the same one as bell and probably telus which is SQN100-1. But I'm going to go by the wirelesswave i got it and see if i can get more info.

Is there a real problem/concern with the 2600 100-3 phone? Can it really not pick up other bands of LTE? Just 2600? I've picked up LTE here in Victoria with it.

This is what I found in the forums. I'm guessing i don't have that LTE in my area, and i probably do have the -1 versions LTE. My z10 worked perfect, and putting sim in q10 -3 version gets me only 4G

Technically there's no reason to have -1 and -2, when -3 and -5 would be cover all the options, i would prefer -5 if the pic from the forums is correct

This is speed test on Rogers z10, aka STL100-3 while connected to LTE, which I get pretty much everywhere in Guelph and Kitchener.

    I'm from winnipeg, and my q10 is the ( -1 ) variety
Which is the one that doesn't have the 2600 freq,

It doesn't make too much of a difference to me because there is no LTE here yet anyways.

But the fact that rogers hyped it up kind of pisses me off a little bit.

Rogers rebrands high-speed network as LTE max with emphasis on 2600Mhz spectrum, launches in over 20 new markets | MobileSyrup.com

Does this have to do with the recent Rogers rebranding or it's high-speed networks into AWS (1700/2100Mhz) and 2600Mhz (LTE-Max)?

The linked article contains more information regarding the rebranding and Rogers' various network speeds.

I just picked mine up from Manitoba and it's the SQN100-1 model. We don't have 2100 LTE yet never mind 2600 so all good. we do however have 4G province wide including way up north, I mean way up. Lol

I'm confused so you wouldn't want the one that's -3 or would you want it since it has the new 2600 MHz frequency?

I have the Rogers 2600 version. It's my first LTE phone so I don't know what to expect. I do notice I don't get LTE mostly indoors but 4G is very strong.

I did a speed test on LTE last night in downtown Montreal.

That is why you want the 2600mhz one. The other models and other carriers will not be as quick.

Just going by the Manitoba posters above, if you have the 2600 or 2100 network in your area, you will get the SQN100-3, otherwise the SQN100-1.

I think I'll keep this version. Sooner or later 2600 will be better deployed probably even 2100 as well.

I would like the -3, if in my area i had solid 2600 connection. As of rite now i don't, so i prefer the -1, since it is the same bands as the z10 i had and the z10 had no LTE issues.

You may want to see if they roll out the 2600 in your area in the next week or so. The impression I got from support is the 2600 should be done soon.

You also may only get the LTE Max when outside depending on where you live and the composition of your building. My call to support was because I wasn't seeing LTE and eventually they suggested I go outside and it got LTE immediately. I am in an area where I think we are in the shadow of a hill and the towers, so it made sense it would work better outside.

In my case, the 4g was about 4mbps, the 2100 LTE about 21mbps. I suspect when 2600 rolls out is will be fast like Surgeon1919, since fewer people will be on that channel.
