Alright- I am NOT a tech person. But I am resistant to change. This review is from that common person who is afraid of changes

    1. Icon are smaller. If you like the size of your icons now, that will take adjusting. The apps work fine once in them, just a change

    2. Reset your wallpaper to get rid of the hideous lock screen stuff. Ew.

    3. Calendar? It's different, but I hated the 10.2 calendar so it didn't phase me. I don't like this calendar any better/worse.

4: texting: photos now included and a gross color in the background (mint green?) meh- the size is good and it works so I don't care

    5. Speed: phone is fast!! Downloading from amazon is lightning fast and more apps designed to fit BlackBerry

I'm hoping this update helps me with BlackBerry link on my laptop

Overall, while I was worried I'd hate the look of the new os, the function is a keeper.

    Suggestions to BlackBerry:
Allow us to chose size of icons- I don't mind if I have more pages to accommodate larger icons

Calendar app from my curve was my fav. Showing times for appts was better than a dot. Would like that option and option for colors/look of calendar.

Options for colors in general- customization is lacking.

That's all for now. I'm still exploring

On icons sizes, I am starting to believe it's actually an optical illusions caused by the lack of the grayshade box. See the image below. Both taken fron BB Z30s:

BB 10.3.1 icons (and font on most cases) are bigger than 10.2.1.

I wondered that myself- but I'm thinking they have to be smaller to allow for more on the page- I remember my curve gave you an option of how many you wanted to see - it's not a huge thing for me- but may be for some.

Look closely, all they did was use the space available better - not having the gray shader helped on that.

The small size icons means that he might be using the q10. It looks wonderful on z30 though, nice update.

I did look at comparisons of the before and after icons, but if you notice they are differences to reduce size. Text icon is only yellow not blue/yellow, picture icon is not a double square either, music icon is a circle now- so there are changes. I do miss the look of the old icons- these are a bit cartoonish, but meh- not going to worry over it.

Does the 10.3.1 update for the Q10 include the dark hub? I used the an auto loader for Q5/Q10 and it's the light hub. I'd like to confirm before going through all the work of downgrading to 10.2 and then letting the phone upgrade itself to 10.3.1

Yes, I think you are wright. Calendar, BBM and browser icons are bigger in 10.3.1 the just to give some examples.
