Would be cool to have back, but all my BB friends have moved on to other platforms and have no interest in coming back. All but 1 actually. Just like BBM, it would just be another tool i rarely get to use.

I hear you, this test was probably the second time I've ever even used pin-to-pin, but there was plenty of ******** in the forums.

Odd they wouldn't have included this originally though, that being said, while I can receive PIN messages on my Z I can't reply, 10.1 should fix that.

WolvieMkM are you using a Q10? Or what OS are you on that you are able to PIN to PIN message?

I've had a BlackBerry for years and never really used PIN to PIN messaging, but it's always better to have more features than less..

How is p2p different from BBM? Back before I switched to iPhone we added BBM contacts via PIN...I thought p2p was just that?

    Hey Sean,

Yea it is Q10 I'm playing with, OS 10.1 (then some sub release). Noticed the PIN thing on the hub and figured I'd give it a try, works just like the old phones used to.

I would imagine that this will be on the Z10 release of OS10.1 as well.

It is a test phone, but from what I understand this version of the OS I was provided is something that will be released to the public. Hopefully we'll all get this in a few weeks on both phones!

I may be wrong, but I read that PIN was device to device and did not go through the NOC. May also not be logged on BES, as it is device to device.

It's been found to be unsafe for secure messaging at times, but glad to see it back.

I was told pin to pin was basically untraceable (the contents of the message) unless you had one of the devices that either sent or originated the pin, don't know if this is accurate., kind of makes sense if it does not go thru a server

I can think of 30 different email features/fixes I'd rather have before they waste time/energy with that.

Never saw much point in it, though there is some esoteric thing that some people like, something to do with sending attachments or something.
