    Hi all,
    I'd like to restore contacts from a 10.3.x backup onto a device having 10.2.x OS.
    I've been searching for a while, but I did not get it resolved.

    It's pretty annoying that BB does not allow you to restore the most important information.
    All manufacturers solved this problem by dropping the new data and keeping only the one that's supported.
    But not BB (with the smartest engineers on the planet).
    Anyhow.
    I know Darcy's BlackBerry Tools will allow you to patch a backup, but Link restored zero contacts from the patched backup.

    Anyone managed to find a workaround that actually works?

    Device Transfer app worked for me...you need to be creative using 2 phones but it's a snap using WiFi.

    Simply that people who want to roll back to 10.2.x have the dumbest reasons, I'm not going to explain how to do it

    What do reasons have to do with it?
    Do you know a workaround or not?

    For the record, I tried restoring contacts the other way around, too: from the 10.3.x backup to the 10.2.02.1609.
    I got zero contacts back. Zlich.

    I've done it manually a few times and it works
    I just don't share how it's done, because we have incompetent people trying to roll back to OS because they aren�t used to the new OS. There's a reason why some major OS revisions are mandatory
