    Hi all,

Is there any way to easily remove the carrier logo from the front of the phone; located directly below the keyboard. I prefer the look of an 'unbranded' phone.

I am thinking some goo-gone on a q-tip, but haven't tried yet. Can anyone advise? Has anyone done this?

    Thanks!

Personally I'd advise to just buy a new unbranded Q10 housing shell, and transfer over your parts. It's not that difficult and there are tons of tutorials online. (Search Dev C convert to Q10)

Trying to remove the logo could end up making your phone look worse.

Have you done this? Can you advise on how to remove the bottom cover? Does it just snap off?

I did it and it was easy. I have a thinblade knife that I could slide in the opening a wee bit and pry it out. It's on with a little adhesive so it popped out pretty easy. The new one comes with an adhesive strip too. It's held on nice and firm ever since I put it in.

Guys--Told a few in another thread.

summer of 2012 I sat outside by the pool and as my hands sweat and the sun beat on my phone (in my hand) i began rubbing the front logo off of my 9930 with my thumb. came off in less than 60 seconds.

I'm not saying to go heat up your phone, but if you rub for a little it will come off, summer or winter.

try it before you go doing a bunch of other laps around the world to get rid of it.

Check out this video starting at 1:27 if you're still unsure about replacing the part with one off ebay:

Great video! That was a big help.

I already ordered the new bottom. But I'll try using my thumb in the meantime. Who knows :P

I've tried a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol with my 9900 and that worked well. I tried the same thing with my Q10 and had no luck

It's easier to buy the small piece off the internet. It costs $2.00 and taking the piece off is really easy. Just look at any disassembly video for the Q10 and you'll see what I mean.

    I got mine from here:

Keep in mind that the shipping is expensive (I think?) and it comes from China. I'm pretty sure you can find it on eBay. If you get it from this site, make sure you check the quantity of how many you're buying because they'll try and sell you two because that's what the default amount is.

I removed the Sprint logo from my Bold 9930 completely but only after two plus years of use, I think it was all the sweat and germs that did it. Lol.
