Hello all,
I just recently saw an ad on Kijiji (now taken down) that was a great deal for buying a Q10. I was thinking of arranging a meeting to see the phone. He claims it is in 100% mint condition but what are some things that I can do to make sure there isn't any software problems or issues? I have never bought a phone off Kijiji so I just wanted to know what are the things to look for before buying the phone? Thank you!

One of the biggest issues I've heard of on the Q is the double-typing issue from the keyboard on many of them, so you may want to put that to the test.

I sold my Z10 on kijiji and bought my Z30 on kijiji. I got my Z30 for $325... mint, factory unlocked with box and all accessories plus two cases and a holster. You can find some great deals. But just like buying anything on kijiji you should meet at a public place, I usually go to a Tim Horton's and test it before you buy it. There should be no problems for you to put your SIM in and test it and make sure it works and you are happy with the condition its in. I've only had positive experiences so far.

yah i am aware thats a problem with the Q10's. How would i go about testing that? just type a few texts to see if it double types or?

I picked up my wife's Q10 on Kijiji, just sat down with the guy, made sure our sim worked and could make phone calls, checked the keyboard and camera, touch screen, closed the deal for 200 bucks including a battery charger bundle, spare battery and a couple of cases. Also sold my 9810 and 9790 on Kijiji - no issues. Just be wary of the 'too good to be true' ads and use your gut.

Thanks for all your help, I ended up doing most of what you suggested. I got a pretty much brand new Q10 with two official blackberry cases and the charger and headphones still in their packaging for $250.
