I currently have an older Android device and have been looking into going back to BlackBerry. I can get a Q10 for $120 and am wondering if the phone is too old or if I should get a Passport. What are the pros and cons of the passport?

I have a Q10 and just ordered another backup a couple of days ago. However, I hear that the Passport is awesome if you are good with the shape and size. The Q is a great device for what my needs are.

For 120? Definitely. Of course, the passport is a superior device in all ways except portability so the cost vs performance tradeoff is up to you. I would recommend getting the q10 if this is your first foray into BB10 - lower risk

    YES!

Absolutely. $120 for a brand new Q: many Q users are green with envy.

    BIG YES!

I have a Passport and a Z10, but still thinking about buying a Q10 because my wife has been eyeing my Z10 and I have the mind to give it to her and turn to Q10.

    Or a Z30.

    Hmm...

I have the Passport and my old Q10 is still working good, but relegated to my Poker game machine...

Both are very good phones, really!

For $120 heck yeah you better jump on that, thats a deal. I cant give you the pros and cons of a passport. But I will say the q10 is definitely a phone to use daily. Great battery life, sound, keyboard of course, switching in and out of the hub. If you want your google apps you can download them as a side apk file.

Absolutely! I use mine daily along with a Note 4. I am amazed at how well the Q10 has held up. It still runs smooth as ever.

I just went from iPhone 6/Note 3/Lumia 930 to a Q10 and Passport a month ago. Sold the others.

Funny thing, you'd think that having the Passport would delegate the Q10 to backup duty, but no. My Q10 is the one that gets the most time. It simply fullfills my needs perfectly.

Definitely worth it. Just got a Q10 this week, as I don't enjoy my new Android very much. Capable phone, nice keyboard, great for one handed usage.

Just got my Q10 this week and loving it! Have an LG G4 which I haven't enjoyed too much, picked this up so I could have my hub back. The Android has been relegated to mini tablet duty.

I still use mine on weekends and vacation when I just need a small easy to carry phone that does A LOT. It still does not miss a beat!

I love my q10 mainly because it's easy to type on and fits in the pocket the passport you might have some issues with that

Well for the price its a good buy i think if its what you're look'n for in phone. Biggest thing for me is its compact as I have a physical job and it takes .... abuse, gets dirty and has good reception. If size isn't an issue then yeah the passport has more to offer for sure.

I would think so, since I just picked up a second white one off Craiglist last night. I was using a black Q10 as my on-and-off workhorse over the last couple of years, but last week the camera started acting up and would no longer autofocus. Odd because the very first Q10 I bought also had camera autofocusing issues. Anyhow I flirted with the idea of picking up the Classic but it's big and heavy, if that's of any concern to you. Also I wanted the ability to reuse all my old Q10 accessories.

Yes, it is worth it! I got the Q10 when it came out, and it is still the best phone I ever had.

I tried the Passport for a few months, but never got used to the keyboard (the performance and camera was great, thoguh). The Classic has a good keyboard, but nothing beats the form factor and replaceable battery of the Q10.
