I just transferred devices to my current Q10 (from another Q10) and just realized in the last day that I can't send or receive SMS messages. I actually missed some important ones too.

I don't want to wipe my phone. I've loaded the textmessage bar and sys.chat bar through Sachesi but that didn't work.

If I try send a message, after I press enter it disappears and doesn't send. It doesn't show a red x or anything, the message I type just vapourizes.

I don't want to blow up my phone if I don't have to. Anyone have any ideas how to get text messaging back?

Are they both on the same OS? Is it the same SIM?

Seems perhaps a corrupt OS unless somehow the SMS settings got screwed
With things like this, I always suggest an autoloader reload (not even a wipe, too risky)
Just backup and restore

Most of the time there are too many sms messages it can't index them fast enough. Delete some conversation to fix the problem

I decided to just do a security wipe and another restore.

As for the too many SMS suggestion, I know in the past I had tons of SMS messages stored and it would be slow, but since xBBM, I use mostly BBM. That's why it took me a couple of days after the original device switch to even realize that SMS messages weren't coming through.

After the wipe SMS worked. Now I'm restoring so I'll see if it still works after the restore.

When you restore, your sms will be restored as well. If it's slow again just delete the individual conversions of as many messages as you can
