I'm thinking of getting a Z30 but that would leave my Q10 useless. So rather than getting a Z30, what device do you think would be the best tablet companion to the Q10 similarly priced to a Z30? A Windows, Android, or an iPad? I can't sell my Q10 though..

I'd suggest a tablet or a ultrabook depending on your budget and use case.

As far as phones go, my Q10 has no need for a companion phone.

My Q10's companion is my PlayBook - makes viewing PDF's, Presentations and Spreadsheets so much easier.... You can put the spare cash towards a weekend away!

I have an ipad for work purposes. That's what's being pushed through my school. The kids have them and staff were issued with them a couple of years ago. I have my own personal one because I have an issue with using things that technically belong to someone else...and I have an issue with the IT department having too much access to my iPad.

If I were to have my own way, I would have a playbook. I don't feel the need to have a companion phone. A tablet is by far a much better companion for a phone as awesome as the Q10.

My other (work!) device is a Bold! And a Playbook on a stand for weather. Quick Internet lookups and browsing are just fine on Q10.

But am finding that for major Internet consumption exercises, man, nothing beats a comfy chair and desk and this technology called a computer with a mechanical keyboard, a pointing device and a 27" monitor...I think having a different tool for the various tasks is... efficient. Knowing which to use when is the trick.

    First world problems, though, folks...

What do you plan on using it for? If it's a couch browser, etc. and budget is an issue, probably a cheaper Android tablet is the way to go, and I'd recommend 7 - 8". The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7" is pretty cheap. I'd also look at the Nexus 7". 10" is great for more screen real estate, but I find the smaller form factor much more comfortable one handed if you're lying on a couch...

EDIT: I'd recommend PlayBook as well, but be aware if you're big into social media and apps you'll be limited. On the upside, you can bridge to your Q10 and check BBM and SMS while your phone is docked and charging.

I have had a Q since last May, bought a Z30 2 weeks ago. I could never get rid of my Q. The Z30 is great for browsing, reading, etc. I haven't used my PlayBook since getting the Z30, browser is so much faster.

Personally I find the Z30 a little big to carry around every day because my hands are crippled. I use the Q for that. For some reason I just can't put this damn Z30 down, ever. Haha. It is so fast, can get so much done in a small time.

I was afraid I wouldn't use my Q after, but is a great phone and am lost without it.
