I'm not sure how anyone can go back to a legacy device after using a BlackBerry 10 OS I have a black bold 9900, a Z10, White Q10 and my Z30. I go back and forth between my Q10 and Z30. I couldn't even think of firing up the old Bold 9900. To each their own I guess.
I will apologize ahead of time for what I am about to say as it wasn't in the original question.
But the best answer is neither....
Get a Q5 in lieu. Save yourself some money so you can buy a passport later on when the price drops. Q5 is $150 from Koodo in Canada, 99 pounds in England. Excellent phone, great battery life. Granted it doesn't have a nice of a finish material as the other 2, but there is no noted issues with the Q5. Plasticy but good, and the price is right!!
It is simple why some of us would switch back to 9900/9930 once in a while. The messaging, tool belt, track pad, and keyboard. Plus it is the perfect size for your hand. Sure, it's BBOS7 and Web browsing isn't for hardcore surfers, but we enjoy slowing down a bit and still being productive while doing so. Tech moves so fast and sometimes people don't enjoy it like they should.
There is a reason most of us also have a BB10 device. We are slowly transitioning to full time BB10. I once had a Z10 and Z30 which are great devices, but I will always want a physical keyboard until the end of their existence.
Now let's all be excited for the Classic and Passport, I will probably have both and finally get rid of my 9930 and Q10.

Posted via "Link" the Q10
I'm trying to acclimate to the full touch screen device, so I switch back and forth between my z30 and q10. I have every intention to keep a Blackberry keyboard device. The quote is right on the mark!
My 9900 is an unlocked "world phone" I bought from eBay three years ago - the Q10 on launch day. I have AT&T US - so I just swap out the SIM card between the two phones.
