I noticed my phone doesn't vibrate anymore about a week ago. BBVE fails the test. Since than, I felt the vibration only for a short period of time (somehow) - BBM messages.

Secure erased and installed the latest 2689 leak - still no vibration, BBVE still fails.

Anyone has an idea what could it be? Since it did come back a for bit, I am worried that it might not be the actual motor (worried because if it's the motor I could easily swap it I assume).

It's worth mentioning that I did drop my phone a lot, mainly on asphalt /concrete.

I'm sure it's an hardware issue, and I bet the motor is still OK. It's robust little thing, only harmed by water or electric surcharge. I think you probably dislodged the connector by playing basketball with your phone

If not under warranty, just open your phone and check the connector.

I will be surprised if there is actually a connector for it - are you saying cause you've seen it or just guessing?

So I opened it up. It uses spring loaded contacts with the motherboard board. Cleaned them up (the ones on the picture above) and made sure they make solid contact when I put it back together. So far it works.
