    Q10, sqn100-3, running 10.1.0.4181.

When i click the text message icon or through the hub, if i click compose new or click on a message thread, it will take me to the most recent recipients message first but there is no thread, just the senders name etc, can take a couple of minutes to load up the thread or start the new composition.

This happens even after a restart, is this a known issue? I do have a fair amount of texts, 20 threads in total, could it be slowing down the OS? Would updating to a newer os version solve it?

Not installed a beta leak on the Q10 since purchase, only on bb5/6 and some on bb7.

It's a different system. It seems like the databases reindex on rebot or power of the device. the same as what happens when you restart the hub. I've seen it as well, sometime there is a slight pause when you access a contacts full information, until everything gets indexed

Sure, I've seen it when i get an incoming call, the names don't always show, just a number, same with missed calls etc. But loading a text can take up to 5 minutes to load before i can type or even read a new text.

Yah I have the Z10 and just updated my OS. Literally takes 20 minutes to load texts now, it's like it's loading everything since the dawn of time. Seems to reload everything when a new person texts, or maybe once a day? Absolutely horrible. Someone pls fix!!!

I tried looking into what causes this and reported it to Michael Clewley.

I get this same thing when I'm texting someone with a long conversation (1000+ texts) attached images and then I use the "T" / "B" shortcuts.

It will lock up with a blank display for sometimes minutes. I can't text anyone else until it clears and shows the texts again.

I don't think I noticed this issue with the Z10. Though it doesn't have shortcuts for top/bottom on the keyboard. I hope they fix this because it sometimes leaves me hanging for minutes when I really need to get a message out.
