I've recently purchased a BlackBerry q10 not to long ago and over the past month or so it has just been shutting off by itself randomly. I installed the new software 10.2.1 thinking that would solve the issue but it hasn't.

Its a SQN100-1, running software release:10.2.1.2.102, OS ver: 10.2.1.2141.

Have you loaded many apps? If so, wipe the device and test it out with nothing but the base apps installed and see if it still does it. If it doesn't, start loading up your apps again and see if it starts up. Keep track of the apps you install and you may find one of them as the cause.

Nope just have the basic ones that came with the device.

I had that same problem, the phone just shuts off. Since I installed 10.2 it has done it so far.

I would recommend maybe 2 at most to try and single out a culprit.

hey guys i had the same problem but after formatting my microsd card with the phone it stop shutting off for some reason but it worked. hope this helps

Mine had a kernel panic only a few times. I find that odd, extremely odd... but that was only a rare occurrence.
