Today was the first time I was able to tell the difference between the 2 after a month. We had a ice storm here in the South and the nearest att tower to my house was down so I was getting a extremely weak signal in my house. Sitting in the same place my Q10 lost signal kinda easy compared to the Z10 which I had to full hand grab for it loose signal. The Z10 streamed youtube okay every now and then I had to hold it up a little higher to keep a constant stream. My Q10 wouldn't stream unless I held it upside down which made it impossible to view pleasurable. Voicecalls could be made on the Q10 if I held it up and started the call. It did break up some. The Z10 had no issue with calls.

Interesting, I find the exact opposite. My Q tends to get significantly better signal than my Z10. I can make calls at home with my Q, cannot with the Z10.

Yeah that is weird. It would be good to hear some more experiences. Maybe my Q10 is defective but I wouldn't have known other wise or maybe your Z10 has a weak radio

I notice the z10's wifi reception is better than my Q10. Not sure about network coverage...it seems equal if not a slight edge to the Q10.

I remember reading in a similar thread (wish I could find it again), that the Z10 will get better reception outdoors, but the Q10 is able to penetrate walls indoors better, allowing for better signal indoors. There was an explanation for it as well, maybe someone can dig it up.

Exactly the same with you Q10 has far better wifi and call signal than my Z10 and my best friends Z10 too

Here's the thing.....
Phones with metal tend to be prone to reception issues. The metal on the phone will often receive interference, making the reception spotty. Putting a case on the phone makes the reception even worse. That being said....simply removing your case from the phone (if you have one) may fix all of your reception issues.

Don't get me wrong, I love the metal trimming but there are negatives to it.
Do you have a case on the phone....if so ....let us know how it goes.
