I have a Q10 with QWERTY keyboard.

In "language and Input" I changed the keyboard to QWERTZ (and saved the change).
However, when I type, the keyboard is still in QWERTY layout.

I am on Software Release: 10.1.0.2309

Did I forget something?

is your OS A leak or a carrier official

the QWERTZ support has to be built in, and might not be supported if you are using a leaked OS

It seems I am not well in understanding mobile phones.....

The situation is:
I bought the device in Belgium (not from a telecom provider, but through a reseller).
The SIM in the Q10 is from Orange in Switzerland.

Does this cause my problem? I.e. should I buy a Q10 from Orange in Switzerland to being able to use the hardware QWERTY keyboard as a QWERTZ keyboard?

It will not be the SIM causing this, it is the OS that is doing it.
