What are your requirements and constraints?
Q10 is a better phone but you might not need a better overall phone (eg a new Ferrari is a better overall car than a Nissan Micra, but is less practical for going to the shops, and might just blow your budget....)

A red Q5 is sexy and modern. I want one! But mine is an entirely emotional response. You should probably take someone else's advice.

Also a Q5 is a 150 dollar phone. Not the 350-500 dollars I see being asked for them. So as long as you don't over pay you can't go wrong even if you do listen to me.

As the owner of a Q5 and not a Q10, if you're a bit on a budget, the Q5 is the way to go. It has less storage (8GB compared to 16 of a Q10) a different keyboard (I wouldn't say it's worse though, I heard about the Q10 double typing issue, never heard of such problems with the Q5), no HDMI out (which might be important for you, but could be solved with a miracast dongle), a different display (some even say it's better). Probably some more differences, but these are the things I looked at.

If any of those differences are important for you, by all means go for the Q10, it's of course a great phone too.

I had both the 5 and the 10. In the end I kept the 5, although the 10 was built better, had more features and is one sexy phone overall. What I prefer about the 5:

More space between keys, easier to hit, even less typos.
    Better screen sensitivity.
    Brighter screen, better visibility.
Wider bezel between keys and screen, easier to swipe up.
A bit longer, therefore easier to hold for me when typing (big hands).
